Bill Duckro
Owner, Master Scuba Diver Trainer #176222

Bill started diving at age 51. His brother Gene was his inspiration to enter the underwater world. Once certified Bill quickly went up the ranks. He wanted to learn as much as possible and in 2002 was certified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. Bill has logged over 5000 dives, shot thousands of underwater photographs and recorded hundreds of hours of underwater video in his career. He specializes in people who experience anxiety; gently leading them through the skills, eliminating their fears and helping them enjoy a brand new world. Bill is knowledgeable, patient, caring, and intuitive, these traits make him an excellent instructor. A word from Bill about one of his students

I was teaching an open water student in the swimming pool a few years ago. Once we donned all the equipment I was checking to see if she had enough weight to stay on the bottom. In about 3 feet of water she became very stressed and came to the surface saying she did not know if this sport was for her. I explained to her that what she experienced was purely psychological had nothing to do with scuba diving. She did not trust the regulator to provide her with enough air to breath. I cradled her in my arms and walked down slowly to the deep end of the pool, reassuring her by saying the water is coming up to your hips, now to your wait, now to your chest. This gave her that extra confidence and an hour later she was doing all the skills and turning back flips underwater. She ended her pool dive saying “That was great, do we have to stop now?” I love teaching. Experiences like this are so rewarding.

I started scuba diving when I was 20 years old, and instantly enjoyed the adventurous new life it provided. Throughout my diving career, I have made hundreds of dives throughout the world in both challenging and calm conditions. One of my favorite aspects of diving is working with students and helping them discover the world of diving. Come on down to Scuba Views, I would love to meet you!

On March 7 2011 Bill began working with Scuba Views in setting up our technical department. Bill Bradley has a passion for the water world especially with a self contained underwater breathing apparatus, or scuba for short. You can locate the available courses on our Technical Diving page.

“My love for diving comes from my experience of the other divers. To watch them go from a fish out of the water to being a fish in the water excites me. Safety is the key. And having fun doing it is the best thing.”
